The Moroccan international, citing his Muslim faith, opted out of wearing the jacket before the team’s 4-0 win over Everton.
To prevent Mazraoui from being isolated, the squad chose solidarity, deciding that no one would wear the jacket. Manager Ruben Amorim explained the challenge of balancing club values, religious beliefs, and team unity, stating, “We won’t leave Nous alone; we’re a team.”
