Ghanaian actor and comedian Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has opened up about his decision to stay away from endorsing political parties.
Unlike some of his celebrity peers, LilWin believes that aligning with politics in Ghana can create unnecessary challenges and division.
Speaking on Cape Coast’s Property FM, he explained, “It’s not every money that I have to go and take, but the little that God has given me, I like it that way. Besides, in Ghana, we don’t understand politics.” He emphasized that public figures often face backlash and lose public favor when they publicly affiliate with a political party.
LilWin pointed out the stark contrast between Ghana and other countries, like the United States, where celebrities openly endorse politicians without facing hostility. However, he noted that in Ghana, such actions often lead to public scrutiny or even hatred.

For him, maintaining neutrality is essential, especially as he manages multiple ventures, including a school. He believes that political affiliation could unnecessarily complicate his life and career.
