Kenpong Football Academy in Winneba, Ghana, has entered into an exciting partnership with Danish top-tier football club Sonderjyske. This agreement will see the academy send players to Denmark annually for training opportunities and exposure to world-class facilities.
The collaboration aims to enhance the development of young talents while fostering international relations. Officials from Sonderjyske, led by their President Markus Kristopher Hansen, have expressed admiration for Kenpong’s facilities and the academy’s commitment to nurturing football talent.
During their visit to Ghana, the Danish delegation, which included Oliver Lindorf Jessen and Leon Constantin Sievert, spent time assessing the academy’s operations. They were particularly impressed by the infrastructure and the level of talent on display.
This visit solidified their decision to recruit two standout players from Kenpong Football Academy and establish a long-term partnership with its founder, Kennedy Agyepong. The collaboration promises to provide technical support while opening pathways for Ghanaian players to showcase their skills on an international stage.
Kennedy Agyepong expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting that it is a significant step toward making Kenpong Football Academy a leading youth football training hub in Africa. He emphasized plans to expand the academy’s reach to include talents from across the continent.
The Danish delegation also met with Denmark’s Ambassador to Ghana, Tom Norring, to discuss their intentions, further strengthening ties between the two nations. This collaboration symbolizes a shared commitment to developing football talent and fostering global sports relations.
