The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that members of the historic 2009 Black Satellites squad, who won the Under-20 World Cup, can now access their GH₵10,000 investment packages.
This initiative, set up by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2009, involved an investment of GH₵210,000 spread among the 21 players, with the funds maturing after 15 years.
The GFA confirmed that SAS Finance Group has invited the players to collect their cheques at their office in Accra, starting January 8, 2025.
To redeem their funds, players are required to present a valid Ghana Card for identification. Alternatively, those unable to collect in person may authorize a representative with a notarized Power of Attorney.
