Everton are reportedly on the verge of securing a deal with Olympique Lyonnais for 21-year-old Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah.
The talented youngster, who has shown flashes of brilliance despite being primarily used as a substitute under Lyon head coach Pierre Sage, has caught the attention of several Premier League clubs.
While Fulham and Nottingham Forest have previously shown interest, it seems Everton are now in pole position to land the winger during the January transfer window.
Nuamah is expected to be the first major signing under Everton’s new owners, The Friedkin Group, as they aim to bolster the squad for the second half of the season.
The Ghanaian international was close to making a move to England during the summer transfer window, but a last-minute deal with Fulham fell through on deadline day.
Now, Everton are keen to bring him aboard and tap into his potential to strengthen their attacking options.
