The highly anticipated Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool has been postponed due to safety concerns caused by Storm Darragh. The storm’s severe weather conditions, including high winds and widespread travel disruption, led to the decision to call off the final derby at Goodison Park.
A Safety Advisory Group, including club officials, police, and council representatives, determined the risk was too great, with an amber wind warning in place until Sunday morning.
This isn’t the only fixture affected by Storm Darragh’s havoc. In the Championship, Cardiff City vs. Watford and Plymouth Argyle vs. Oxford United were also postponed.
