West Ham United’s manager, Julen Lopetegui, has announced the much-anticipated return of Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus ahead of their Premier League clash against Leicester City on December 3.
Kudus, who missed five matches following a suspension for violent conduct during the Hammers’ loss to Tottenham Hotspur, is now fully fit and available for selection.
Lopetegui highlighted the importance of Kudus’ return in a recent press conference, emphasizing the midfielder’s role in enhancing the team’s depth and attacking options.
The absence of Kudus was keenly felt, as West Ham struggled to maintain consistency during his suspension. With just two wins, two losses, and one draw in the last five games, the Hammers find themselves at 14th place on the league table with 15 points.

The team’s lack of offensive firepower, scoring more than one goal in only two of their last six outings, has put increased pressure on Jarrod Bowen, their top scorer and creator this season. Kudus’ return offers a much-needed boost as West Ham aims to reignite their campaign.
Having joined West Ham from Ajax in the summer, Kudus has already demonstrated his potential to be a transformative player with his creativity and goal-scoring capabilities. His return couldn’t come at a better time, as the team gears up for a favourable run of fixtures during the festive period.
